Forward

Incredible achievements sometimes occur where least expected. The book, however, is not just about achievement. Rather, it is a story about Sicilian culture and creed, ethnic prejudice, family and loss. It is also a story about service as a Marine Corps officer during World War II and a chilling reminder of the sacrifices of all those who fought.
